WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT TRADE UNIONS?
→ Industrial Zone Trade Unions are higher-level trade union organizations directly above the grassroots level, established by the Provincial/City Federation of Labor. This is where Representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; monitoring regulations and policies; and resolving labor disputes and conflicts in enterprises located in industrial parks and export processing zones..
The main functions include:
- Representation and Protection: Protecting the legal rights and interests of workers, and taking care of their living conditions and welfare (meal allowances, working hours, rest periods).
- Monitoring and Coordination: In coordination with the industrial park management board, relevant authorities will inspect and monitor the implementation of labor laws and policies.
- Managing the grassroots trade union: Establish, direct, and guide the activities of grassroots trade unions in enterprises within industrial parks.
- Receiving feedback: It serves as a channel for information, receiving feedback, and resolving inquiries and complaints from employees and businesses.
